The 24th Annual Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival Website
Join us for a week to remember...
Arrive early on Thursday for an invigorating tour of the Columbia Rive Gorge we'll take a hike, see some waterfalls, catch views of the entire columbia valley below, then get some food and brews at the historic Edgfield Mannor.
Thursday night starts with a pre-party of swing dancing brought you by our local Portland Lindy Society followed by a Blues house party featuring a variety of DJ's.
Friday morning, take a garden tour, visit Powell's, or wander our downtown area. Mid-day head over to the Waterfront Blues Festival to see the bands, dance, eat, grab some hippie wears from a local vendor.
Following the festival we will head to late night for all night dancing to our featured DJ's.
Saturday morning meet-up at the Portland State Farmers Market for breakfast and groceries, then it's back to the festival for a full day of music, dancing, and performances.
Saturday night don't miss the boat "Rock the Boat" river cruise is always a highlight of the weekend. Late night follows until morning.
Sunday features our Swing and Blues competitions to live music at the waterfront festival, more bands, more dancing, then on to our third late night party.
Monday the festival fills up quick, so we will arrive early and stake out our area for napping, dancing, listening, and socializing.
The festival closes with Portland's largest fire works display choreographed to music by Portland's local radio station KBOO, and more dancing til you drop at our final late night dance!
